Our Approach
Four pillars of
lasting change
Too many children grow up without a family.
With your help, we help them remain in, reunite with, and regain the love of family.
Pillar 1
Protect Children
Ensuring safety and permanency
We fuel efforts that reduce exploitation risks for youth aging out of institutional care through practical support, mentorship, and community care, while partnering with local churches to connect orphans with safe, supportive families. This includes...
- Life skills training and tangible support for aged out teens
- Advocacy for children in need of family
- Anti-trafficking prevention
- Safe housing and reunification
Pillar 2
Strengthen Families
Keeping families together
We prevent separation, support reunification, and mitigate adoption disruption by equipping families with tools, resources, and services to stay together.
- Economic empowerment programs
- Parenting education and counseling
- Emergency financial assistance
- Family reunification services
Pillar 3
Equip Local Leaders
Building local capacity
We equip and walk alongside local partners to deliver lasting, child-centered care and community-driven, trauma-informed solutions.
- Trauma-informed care training
- Social worker capacity building
- Church and NGO partnerships
- Ongoing mentorship and support
Pillar 4
Advance Systems Change
Transforming entire systems
We help shape policies and processes that prioritize families over institutions, protect vulnerable children, and promote long-term, systemic change.
- Policy reform advocacy
- Government partnerships
- Research and white papers
- Best practice dissemination

Aged-Out Teens (Aged-out Orphan)
Every year, thousands of children around the world reach a milestone that should be filled with hope: adulthood. But for teens growing up without family care, this moment often marks the beginning of deep uncertainty.
Globally, an estimated 5.4 million children live in orphanages or residential care. Many of them will “age out” of the system at 16–18 years old with little preparation for independent life. Without the stability and guidance of a family, these young people are suddenly expected to navigate adulthood on their own—without support, safety nets, or a place to call home.
The outcomes can be devastating. Studies consistently show that youth who age out of institutional care face significantly higher risks of homelessness, unemployment, exploitation, trafficking, and involvement in crime. Many lack access to education, job training, or even basic identification documents. Without intervention, the cycle of vulnerability continues—impacting not only their future, but generations to come.
